When man dies, part of the fluid from his sight enters the Earth.

This incendiary vital fluid tends to combine with the active principle of nitrogen. This Greedy fluid is fond of grass and pottery.

When this fluid reaches the tops of trees and mountains, it excites men to desire to be rejuvenated, to sing and to drink.
